NodeJS Developer

We are seeking a Senior Node.js Software Engineer to build resilient and scalable APIs using modern cloud technologies.

The ideal candidate will be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from discovery and design to deployment and maintenance.

This role requires strong backend development skills, a user-centric approach, and the ability to deliver efficient, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Implement complex features and optimize performance for cloud-native applications.
• Write and execute comprehensive test cases, including automated UI testing using Playwright.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies such as SAFe.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and alignment with business priorities.
• Maintain and improve production applications, including on-call support and telemetry monitoring.
• Troubleshoot full-stack issues using tools like New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, and Chrome DevTools.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Support API testing using tools such as Postman, Supertest, Axios, Jest, and Node.js assert.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Node.js development with TypeScript.
• 2+ years of cloud experience, preferably with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Secret Store, ECS).
• 2+ years of experience in Agile environments with CI/CD and TDD practices.
• 2+ years of on-call experience for production applications using telemetry tools.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL database solutions.
• Experience with source control systems like GitHub and Bitbucket.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, and AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Airflow for workflow automation.
• Professional experience with PostgreSQL on AWS.
• Backend development experience with Express.js, Fastify, NestJS, ECMAScript 2022, and limited Java.
