As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving strategic account growth and revenue expansion for Complete Genomics’ sequencing platforms, reagents, and workflow solutions across Canada.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Drive revenue growth by managing strategic customer accounts and developing territory account plans aligned with regional revenue objectives.
- Promote Complete Genomics’ full NGS workflow solutions centered on proprietary DNBSEQ™ technologies, including sequencing instruments, reagents, automation systems, and software solutions.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within assigned accounts while expanding share of wallet among existing customers.
- Partner closely with the Canadian distributor to coordinate account strategy, customer engagement activities, and sales execution.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, laboratory leaders, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across academic, clinical research, and commercial organizations.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and solution-focused discussions to understand technical and business requirements and position appropriate product offerings.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and account activity records using CRM tools in accordance with internal processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Field Application Scientists, marketing, product management, and service teams to deliver coordinated customer solutions.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to commercial and product teams to strengthen competitive positioning.
- Represent Complete Genomics at conferences, customer events, and industry meetings within the region.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING US
- 5+ years of sales experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions (instruments, reagents, or services), or experience as an NGS Field Application Scientist with strong commercial/account-management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success managing strategic accounts and closing complex life-science sales opportunities.
- Experience selling capital equipment or life-science instrumentation strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience using Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM tools.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within Canada.
WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related life-science discipline required.
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) preferred.

- Location: Remote — candidates must be based in the Greater Toronto Area
- Territory Coverage: Canada
- Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel to support customer engagement, account development, and industry events
HOW WE WILL REWARD YOU
The base salary range for this position is CAD $110,000 – $140,000 DOE, plus an annual incentive commission plan and wellness benefits including a gym membership allowance.
