About the organization: Compass Family Services is a 100+ year old nonprofit working on the front lines of San Francisco’s homeless crisis. We provide families experiencing or at risk of homelessness with comprehensive support to address immediate needs and ensure long-term success.
About the team: The C-Work team is a program that helps families remove barriers to employment, develop job readiness skills, enroll in job training programs, and get hired into high-quality jobs.
Compensation: $33.07 hourly
Schedule: Full time (37.5 hours/week), Monday - Friday, primarily during standard business hours. This is a temporary position for the period of July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
Location: 37 Grove St., San Francisco (less than a block from BART/MUNI) and in the community

Position Description
The Bilingual Training Coordinator will work on a program within C-Work which focuses on helping people start careers in Early Childhood Education. Through this program, participants enroll in Early Childhood courses at community colleges, complete paid internships at local childcare centers/preschools, and ultimately find jobs in the field. The Training Coordinator will support participants through their enrollment, education and training process.
Specific Responsibilities include
- Conduct extensive outreach in the community to get the word out about this program and enroll participants.
- Support participants throughout their time in the program. Help enroll into the program and into classes, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Run a peer support group for program participants.
- Maintain partnerships with early childhood education centers, education programs, and others.
- Maintain up-to-date participant files and enter data into Salesforce database.
Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish AND English required
- Professional experience in Workforce Development and/or Early Childhood Education strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of issues facing homeless and at-risk families, and trauma-informed care.
- Proficiency with computer programs, including Word/Excel/Outlook; Salesforce a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging work.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: $33.07 per hour, 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week. Non-exempt.
- Paid time off: 4 weeks of vacation your first year, 5 in your second. Also paid holidays, sick time, family leave.
- Insurance: health, dental and vision insurance are fully covered by Compass for employees and dependent children. We also provide long term disability and life insurance.
- Retirement: after one year of work, Compass contributes an amount equal to 5% of your salary into a retirement account; this vests during years 2-6.
- Membership in OPEIU/Local 29 union.

- Fully in person for the first three months, then option to work one day per week remotely pending manager approval
