Lead Carpenter

CMSC is a small but growing community maintenance and construction company servicing property management companies in the DMV metropolitan area. Our business is thriving, and we need a lead carpenter to help build capacity and grow with us as we work to build our best in class total renovations and maintenance solutions service to property managers and homeowners. If you are motivated and want to earn more as you learn and contribute more, this is a good fit for you. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate job scheduling of one to two small crews and handle material logistics
• Coordinate and perform small and medium renovations to manage completion of tickets and building projects
• Oversee larger home improvement improvement projects which may include subcontractors
• Document building related issues with notes and photos
• Expedite timely completion of the work
• Perform quality control and ensure job safety
• Requirements: Minimum of 5 years previous experience in carpentry, including kitchen and bath renovations
• Knowledge of a broad range of construction methods and techniques; a basic understanding of all trades
• Knowledgeable of estimating or a willingness to learn
• Able to work indoors and outdoors, able to lift 75lbs+
• The ability to communicate and interact well with workers and clients; able to direct others
• Ability to work independently
• Job coordination and organizational skills; problem solving skills
• Proficiency in prioritizing and deadline management
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferable, but not required
• Be a citizen of the U.S. or have current/up-to-date Green Card, work visa or permit.
• Must have a valid drivers' license and good driving record as driving throughout the metropolitan area will be required
