Job Title: Executive/ Senior Executive / Specialist Payroll Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Department: Corporate Finance & Payroll Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive / Senior Executive - Payroll to oversee and streamline our payroll operations in India. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and employee relations. This role involves providing experts on payroll matters and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.
Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 1100 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated with the latest labor laws and payroll regulations in India, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Income Tax, and other statutory deductions. Ensure compliance in all payroll activities.
Employee Relations: Address and resolve payroll-related queries and concerns from employees promptly and professionally. Provide clear communication regarding payroll processes and changes. Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll and employee data within payroll Bendor module, internal share folders and payroll systems.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Audit and Reporting: Prepare and present payroll reports to payroll manager as a part of month closing for management. Conduct internal & external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and ER departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions. Payroll Accounting Entries: Recording payroll expenses in the accounting system, including gross wages, employer tax liabilities, and employee deductions. Understanding the distinction between payroll liabilities and expenses.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field. At least 3-6 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a senior or consultancy role. Comprehensive knowledge of Indian payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, Oracle). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Preferred Skills: Experience with multiple payroll processes. Professional certification in Payroll Management or related field.
Familiarity with HR systems/process and advanced Excel skills.
