SEO / SEM & AI Search Specialist (India)

Key Responsibilities

• AI & GEO Optimisation: Execute Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies to ensure Codevian’s content is frequently cited in AI overviews and LLM-generated summaries.
• Omnichannel Search: Plan and execute comprehensive strategies across traditional Google Search, Local SEO (Google Business Profile for the Pune market), and emerging conversational search platforms.
• AI-Assisted Workflows: Utilise GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini) to scale high-quality keyword research, content clustering, and meta-data creation while maintaining a strict human-in-the-loop quality standard.
• Technical & On-Page SEO: Manage site architecture, mobile optimisation, Core Web Vitals, and implement advanced Schema Markup (JSON-LD) to ensure AI bots can easily crawl and extract answers.
• Off-Page & Authority Building: Develop link-building and digital PR strategies to build E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) and secure brand mentions on platforms AI models trust.
• Content Structuring: Advise on formatting content into extractable “answer blocks” (FAQs, step-by-step guides, comparison tables) that AI systems prefer to cite.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and emerging AI visibility tracking methods to measure brand mentions in AI answers.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to ensure SEO and GEO best practices are implemented natively in new code.

Required Candidate Profile

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in SEO and search engine marketing.
• AI Fluency: Proven experience using AI tools for SEO workflows and a strong understanding of how platforms like Perplexity and ChatGPT retrieve and cite information.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of technical SEO elements (robots.txt, metadata, site speed, basic .htaccess) and structuring data for machine readability.
• Local SEO Mastery: Demonstrated results in dominating local search rankings and optimising business citations.
• Platform Experience: Robust command of Google tools (Analytics, Search Console, Keyword Planner) and popular SEO software.
• Familiarity with WordPress and its major SEO ecosystems.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to paid search (SEM) campaigns on Google Ads.
• Familiarity with Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).
• Experience tracking share of voice within AI Overviews (AIO).
