Aggregate General Manager | Maryland

I'm partnering with a well-established and growing construction materials business to find a hands-on, high-impact Senior Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of sand & gravel operations across Maryland.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving production performance, improving operational efficiency, and leading multiple site teams across active aggregate operations. The position requires a strong field presence and someone who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing operations across 6 raw material sites.
• Driving production planning and execution to meet tonnage targets.
• Leading and developing site teams across multiple locations.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce downtime.
• Optimising equipment utilisation and maintenance practices.
• Managing water systems across dredge mining and wash plant operations.
• Monitoring operational performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align operational goals with business objectives.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience within aggregates, sand & gravel operations.
• Deep expertise in dredge mining and wash plant processing.
• Proven track record improving production efficiency and site performance.
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong “boots on the ground” approach.
• Experience managing equipment, production planning, and water systems.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic operational environment.
• Confident communicator capable of influencing change and driving accountability.
