Detailed job description - Skill Set:

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Candidate will work closely with stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dashboard & Report Development:
• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Optimize data models and DAX queries for performance and usability.
• Data Integration & Modeling:
• Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, etc.).
• Create and maintain data models, relationships, and calculated columns/measures.
• Business Analysis:
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Understand business processes and KPIs to deliver relevant insights.
• Data Governance & Quality:
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across reports.
• Implement row-level security and manage access controls.
• Documentation & Training:
• Document report logic, data sources, and usage guidelines.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
