Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an assistant manager to oversee daily operations and drive the success of our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. As an assistant manager you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of store presentation, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Duties

• Lead and assist in managing store operations to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to foster a positive work environment and promote career growth.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, pricing, and stock control to maximize profitability.
• Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and appeal.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of service.
• Collaborate with upper management on budgeting and financial planning for the store.
• Utilize POS systems for transaction processing and sales reporting.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff members as needed.
• Covering shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or a related field with a strong understanding of store operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Strong leadership qualities with experience in team management and development.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis in a retail context.
• Experience using POS systems for efficient transaction processing is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
