Role Description The Category Manager – Women’s Wear will own the end-to-end category lifecycle, including assortment planning, buying, vendor management, product development, and inventory optimization. Reporting to the Director, this role is critical in driving category performance, trend relevance, and stock efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Create seasonal assortment and buying plans aligned with trends and business goals.
• Execute procurement as per buying plans, ensuring margin and mix optimization.
• Identify, onboard, and manage vendors to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
• Drive product development using market trends, samples, and competitive insights.
• Manage supply chain flow to avoid stock gaps and excess inventory.
• Track stock movement, sell-through, and inventory health through regular data analysis.
• Lead and manage the category/procurement team for smooth execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduation / Post Graduation in any discipline.
• 12–15 years of experience in apparel retail, with strong exposure to Women’s Wear.
• Proven experience in category management, buying, and vendor sourcing.

Skills & Behavioral Competencies

• Strong decision-making, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Comfortable reviewing and interpreting sales and inventory reports.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and able to perform effectively in dynamic environments.
