Meet the Team
The Privacy Operations and Centralized Assessments team is a critical function within Cisco’s Legal organization, focused on enabling responsible innovation through strong data governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
The team manages the end-to-end lifecycle of privacy, vendor, and AI impact assessments, ensuring Cisco’s products, technologies, and business initiatives align with evolving governance and compliance standards. By partnering closely with Security, Procurement, Legal, and cross-functional business teams, the organization helps integrate responsible AI and compliance practices seamlessly into Cisco’s operational and strategic frameworks.
Your Impact
As the AI Assessments Lead, you will play a key role in driving Cisco’s Responsible AI governance strategy by managing and executing AI impact assessments across the organization.
You will help identify and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies while enabling innovation through scalable governance frameworks, operational excellence, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide AI governance initiatives and contribute directly to Cisco’s commitment to responsible and ethical AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute end-to-end AI impact assessments across business and technology initiatives.
- Monitor assessment queues and oversee distribution of assessments while ensuring adherence to defined SLAs, ETAs, and governance standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and escalate AI-related risks to appropriate stakeholders for resolution and mitigation.
- Partner with Security, Procurement, Privacy, and Legal teams to align risk treatment strategies with Cisco governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize AI assessment methodologies, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain knowledge management content, documentation, and assessment guidance to support organizational learning and process standardization.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to stay aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, governance models, and emerging AI technologies.
- Build cross-domain expertise by partnering with Privacy and Vendor Assessment Leads and providing backup support where required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience with impact assessments, risk identification, or risk management programs.
- Hands-on proficiency with assessment and compliance platforms such as Credo.ai, OneTrust, and Airtable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles and AI governance frameworks.
- AI subject matter expertise with knowledge of emerging AI risk and compliance landscapes.
- Experience driving process improvement and governance optimization initiatives.
- Strong project management and operational execution skills.
- Privacy and AI certifications such as CIPP, CIPT, or AIGP are preferred.
