Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Quality Management.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ISO14001
- Experience in leading audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Experience working in an international company is a plus.
Role & responsibilities
- The Quality Health/Safety and Environment Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the companys Quality Management System in accordance with international standards and corporate requirements. The role ensures product quality, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement of processes within the Indian operations.

- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Management System (QHSEMS)
- Implement and maintain the Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 & ISO14001 (and other applicable standards if required).
- Ensure alignment with corporate quality policies and procedures.
- Lead internal and external audits.
- Manage certification processes and ensure ongoing compliance.
- 2. Product & Process Quality
- Ensure product conformity with technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Develop and monitor quality control plans.
- Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Reduce non-conformities and improve first-pass yield.
- 3. Supplier Quality Management
- Qualify and evaluate suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Manage supplier non-conformities and corrective actions.
- 4. Customer Quality & Claims Management
- Handle customer complaints and warranty claims.
- Lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely communication with customers regarding quality issues.
- Monitor customer satisfaction indicators.
- 5. Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Lead Lean / Six Sigma initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs (scrap rate, rework, customer complaints, etc.).
- Implement cost-of-quality reduction strategies.
- 6. Team Management
- Lead and develop the local quality team.
- Provide training on quality standards and tools.
- Set objectives and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
- 7. Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local Indian regulations and international standards (CE marking).
- Monitor changes in quality-related regulations.
- Maintain documentation and traceability systems.
