Job Description
Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript)
Goa (Onsite) | 4+ Years Experience
We are looking for a Backend Developer to work on an enterprise Workforce Management Platform used for attendance tracking, contractor workforce management, visitor management, gate entry/exit monitoring, live workforce tracking, and face recognition attendance. While this is primarily a backend-focused role, candidates should be comfortable making occasional frontend changes when required.
This is an enhancement and scaling role for an existing production platform. You will work closely with a founding team member and contribute to backend development, integrations, and platform scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance REST APIs.
- Work with MySQL and Lucid ORM.
- Develop integrations with RFID systems, biometric devices, IP cameras, RTSP streams, face recognition systems, access control systems, and IoT devices.
- Troubleshoot integration and production issues.
- Occasionally contribute to frontend enhancements.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise.
- Experience building scalable REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of modern frontend technologies and ability to make occasional frontend changes.
Good to Have
- Experience with RFID, Biometrics, CCTV/IP Camera, RTSP, IoT, or Access Control integrations.
- Experience in Workforce Management, IoT, Surveillance, Security, or Industrial Software products.
- Experience with React.js, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
