Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Third-Party Governance, the Third-Party Governance Analyst works closely with the Third-Party Governance team and Business Units to ensure that governance administration is established, efficient and effective. Assists with governance of key third-party relationships, tracking and reporting, records management, TPRM software administration and business continuity activities.

Responsibilities

Governance Administration:

  • Supports onboarding, offboarding and monitoring of third-party relationships and associated risks
  • Monitors contract database to identify upcoming terminating and renewing agreements
  • Maintains program activity dashboard, priorities and support requests

Tools Support

  • Supports the administration of the Third-Party Risk Management system including the administration of the contract database
  • Supports updates to our SharePoint sites as required
  • Supports training requirements for internal and external users of various TPG tools (SharePoint and TPRM tool)

Governance & Control

  • Assists in the continuous improvement of the Third-Party Governance program, methodology, standards, and artifacts
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends
  • Assists in governance assessments and looks for ways to continuously improve the process
  • Maintains a log of all governance assessments and tracks remediation of all action items
  • Supports the maintenance, verification of records management and business continuity documents
  • Assists in annual update/verification activity for records management and business continuity
  • Actively supports audit activity for the department and program

Department Reporting

  • Maintains department tools and reports related to management of third-party risk management activities
  • Coordinates input from various subject matter groups and the TPG team
  • Working closely with TPG leadership, tracks department performance measurement goals
  • Supports Director, Third-Party Governance to manage resourcing based on program and Business Unit requirements
  • Supports the onboarding of new third-party relationships

Third-Party Governance Program Oversight

  • Prepares materials for various committee and leadership meetings
  • Maintains meeting minutes and tracking of all action items
  • Maintains repository of meeting artifacts for audit requirements and / or historic purposes
  • Compiles program metrics reports
  • Monitors program and policy activities to ensure compliance across the organization and within the TPG team

Qualifications

Specific Knowledge & Skills (not preferred or an asset)

  • University education, or equivalent post-secondary
  • 3+ years of progressive work experience in administrative roles within Supplier Relationship Management, Strategic Sourcing or Project Management preferably with a strong focus on Information Technology
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently and with attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Good impact and influence skills
  • Ability to build, maintain and grow strong relationships
  • Good understanding of project delivery methodology and concepts
  • Has a strong “client service” mentality

Job Specific Competencies

  • The base salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $91,000 dependent on relevant experience.
