About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior VC Secondaries Specialist on a part-time basis OR a full time basis (Either work). This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role for an operator with deep roots in the San Francisco venture ecosystem and a proven track record of sourcing and executing secondary transactions across both direct cap table positions and fund-level interests.
Key Responsibilities
Source and secure direct cap table access to high-profile, venture-backed companies at competitive valuations
Identify and originate first-layer VC secondaries opportunities, including LP interests and direct stakes in top-tier funds
Leverage existing GP relationships to surface off-market deal flow and gain preferential access ahead of broader market processes
Partner and co-invest alongside other GPs to structure and close transactions collaboratively
Build and maintain a live pipeline of secondary opportunities across growth-stage and late-stage companies
Provide market intelligence on pricing, liquidity windows, and cap table dynamics for key private companies
Represent the firm with credibility and discretion in all counterparty interactions
What We're Looking For
10+ years of direct experience in VC secondaries, with a strong preference for candidates who have operated on both the buy and sell side
Based in San Francisco with an active, well-maintained network across the Bay Area venture community
Deep, verifiable relationships with GPs at top-tier venture funds — this is non-negotiable
Demonstrated ability to access direct secondary positions in well-known, venture-backed companies (Series C and beyond)
Strong existing relationships with founders, CFOs, and cap table managers at high-growth private companies
Track record of closing transactions with speed, discretion, and minimal friction
Ability to assess fair value on illiquid private positions and negotiate terms effectively
A self-starter who can operate independently with minimal oversight in a part-time capacity
