JOB SUMMARY

• The Fundraising and Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial support for the organization and enhance its public profile. This dual role involves managing all fundraising activities, including individual donors, grants, and events, while also overseeing media relations and communications to promote the organization's mission and achievements.
• It is a tenure specific engagement to begin with for 6 to 12 months; can be extended / renewed, reworked, reframed, if mutually agreeable.
• Staying near Wardha city may be preferred, but not essential; can work online with visits to CHETANA-VIKAS from time to time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Fundraising :

• Develop and execute a fundraising plan, including annual goals and

strategies, to secure financial support.

• Research and identify potential donors, corporations, and foundations.
• Write and submit grant proposals and fundraising appeals.
• Manage and maintain a donor database, ensuring accurate records.

Media and Communications:

• Develop and implement public relations and communications strategies to

build brand awareness.

• Create and distribute social media posts, and website updates.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, and

influencers.

• Monitor media coverage and respond to inquiries from the press.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create materials for both fundraising and

general communications (e.g., brochures, annual reports).

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

Required:

• Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Communications, Public Relations,

Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional

experience.

• Proven experience in fundraising, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and

Marathi/Hindi.

• Proficiency with fundraising software and common office productivity tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team

environment.

Preferred

• Experience with grant writing.
• Knowledge of social media strategy and management.
• Experience planning and executing fundraising including CSR funds.
