Human Resources Manager

CSP has partnered with a manufacturing company in their search for an HR Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for leading HR functions across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role partners with plant and senior leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, safety, and talent strategy while ensuring consistency across sites and supporting organizational growth. This role is on-site five days a week in Chestertown, MD.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations across multiple manufacturing facilities in partnership with plant and senior leadership
• Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development across sites
• Oversee employee relations, including investigations, performance management, and policy consistency
• Manage recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives to support workforce needs
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
• Oversee workers’ compensation, safety programs, and return-to-work processes
• Drive performance management and use HR metrics to improve engagement and retention
• Partner on compensation planning, benefits administration, and labor cost management
• Support change management initiatives related to growth and operational changes
• Travel between facilities as needed

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Multi-site HR experience strongly preferred
• Strong employee relations, investigations, and compliance background
• Experience with workers’ compensation and leave administration (FMLA/ADA)
• Proven ability to partner with operational leadership
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
