We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Inventory Assistant for our shuttering (construction materials) store. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock, tracking material movement, and supporting daily store operations.

This role is ideal for someone who understands construction materials, counting quantities, and basic bookkeeping tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily records of incoming and outgoing materials
• Track inventory levels (shuttering materials, tools, etc.)
• Perform quantity counting and stock verification regularly
• Record purchase and sales entries accurately
• Coordinate with store staff for material dispatch and returns
• Maintain proper documentation of bills, invoices, and stock registers
• Report shortages, damages, or mismatches in stock
• Assist in basic accounting and record-keeping tasks

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping or store management
• Understanding of material/quantity counting (construction materials preferred)
• Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel or billing software preferred)
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Prior experience in a hardware, construction, or shuttering store is a plus
