Senior Legal Counsel, Media & Entertainment (India)

Looking to engage a Transactional Attorney with strong experience in Media & Entertainment law sector, for a secondment-based role with one of our premium clients in the digital content space. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a leading OTT / content production ecosystem, handling high-value, commercially driven mandates.

The selected candidate will be embedded with the client’s legal/business team and will be responsible for end-to-end transactional support, including structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities would include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including:

• Brand endorsement agreements
• Artist/talent agreements
• Production and co-production agreements
• Content licensing and distribution agreements
• OTT platform/content exploitation agreements
• Advising on deal structuring from both a legal and commercial standpoint
• Driving transactions towards closure.
• Working closely with business teams to align legal strategy with commercial objectives

Candidate Requirements

Experience: 3–5 years PQE

• Strong background in TMT / Media & Entertainment transactions
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of transactions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Engagement Details

• Role Type: Secondment (Client-facing)
• Location: Mumbai (preferred)
• Compensation: Starting from Rs. 75,000/- (*negotiable upwards)
