Job Description
As an experienced Linux Admin- Entry Level, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's Oracle cloud infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance and security. Your role will involve collaborating with the Infra team and other members to deliver quality solutions to clients. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities:
- Support in maintaining the company's Oracle cloud infrastructure in line with industry standards.
- Perform Linux operating system patch upgrades for optimal performance and security.
- Assist in configuring and managing security settings to protect cloud systems and data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, system failures, security breaches, and network problems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement cloud strategies and solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and stay updated on industry trends in cloud computing and Linux operating systems.
- Ensure all cloud operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Familiarity with IT security practices such as encryption, certificates, and key management.
- Understanding and experience with containers.
- Knowledge of networking.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OCI Cloud Engineer or similar role in cloud computing.
- Knowledge of Linux command-line interface (CLI) and basic programming/scripting skills in Bash and Ansible.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and system patch upgrades.
- Understanding of cloud security configurations and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud system issues.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, trends, and IT security practices.
- Experience with containers and networking.
- Optional: OCI certification.
In addition to the above, secondary skills desired for this position include:
- Experience with cloud platforms like Oracle.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2024 Foundations Associate.
