Job Description

About Cerebrium Capital:

Cerebrium Capital is an investment advisory firm building multi-asset portfolios across international equities, fixed income, and private markets. We blend fundamental rigour with data science, Python, and AI tooling.

About the role

We're looking for a Junior Analyst Intern to support the portfolio manager across the full investment process — and to help build the data and AI infrastructure powering our research. You'll be in the room (virtually) for real investment decisions.

Responsibilities

Research across asset classes

  • Conduct fundamental research on international equities (US, Europe, Asia) — financials, business models, valuation
  • Analyse fixed income opportunities — credit metrics, capital structure, yield curves, spreads
  • Diligence private market investments — pitch decks, data rooms, cap tables, market maps
  • Build financial models (DCF, comparables) and prepare investment memos, credit notes, earnings summaries

Portfolio monitoring & macro

  • Maintain portfolio dashboards — exposure, performance, attribution, risk
  • Track macro releases and prepare daily/weekly market briefs
  • Flag risks, concentration issues, and rebalancing opportunities

Data science, Python & AI tooling

  • Build Python scripts to pull, clean, and analyse market data (Yahoo Finance, FRED, EDGAR, broker APIs)
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, LLM pipelines) for earnings summarisation, document parsing, comp searches
  • Help build a proprietary research database and dashboards
  • Prototype quantitative screens, backtests, and signal ideas; automate repetitive research tasks

Skills Required

  • Strong interest in global markets and multi-asset investing
  • Solid grasp of financial statements and valuation concepts
  • Working knowledge of Excel; financial modelling preferred but not required
  • Clean, structured writing for memos and presentations
  • Self-starter mindset and strong written/spoken English

Who can apply

  • We're open on credentials — undergraduates, postgraduates, MBAs, CA/CFA candidates, engineers, and self-taught finance/coding enthusiasts. What matters is the quality of your thinking, your curiosity about markets, and your willingness to build.
  • Strong plus — data science, Python & AI
  • Python — pandas, NumPy, yfinance, matplotlib/plotly
  • AI / LLM tooling — prompt engineering, LangChain, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, RAG pipelines
  • Data science — statistics, regression, time series, basic ML
  • SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Streamlit for dashboarding
  • GitHub portfolio showing real projects

Other Nice to Haves

  • Cfa Level 1 Cleared or Registered
  • Bloomberg, Fact Set, or Capital Iq Familiarity
  • Personal Investing Track Record or Research Published on Substack/twitter/seeking Alpha
  • Prior Internship in Equity Research, Ib, Asset Management, or Quant/fintech

Perks

  • ₹20,000–30,000/month Stipend, Paid on Time
  • Direct Mentorship from A Pm Running an International Multi-Asset Book
  • Real Work — Your Research and Tools Feed Live Investment Process
  • Letter of Recommendation, Certificate, and Portfolio of Published Work
  • Performance-Based Path to A Full-Time Role
