One of the largest multi-territory rep firms in the U.S. is expanding its Northern California presence and adding a field-facing technical sales professional. With offices spanning the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific, a 50+ year brand, and a line card that includes an In-House Design Firm and Contract Manufacturer, the platform here is fundamentally different. They are rewriting how rep companies operate, they don’t sell components, they sell Solutions and Engineering Services. A mid-May start date is the goal.
TIRED OF SELLING DISCRETE COMPONENTS AT THIN MARGINS?
Their reps sell full engineered solutions including PCB assembly and custom builds, not discrete components. Think a $100 board instead of a $1 resistor at the same commission rate. One of the only rep firms in the U.S. with in-house contract manufacturing and design services under one roof.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own and grow a defined account base of OEM and EMS customers across the NorCal territory
- Conduct regular customer facing visits and maintain 6+ quality appointments per week
- Build and deepen relationships with engineering, purchasing, and operations contacts
- Develop at least 10 active pocket customers within the first year
- Leverage company design services and contract manufacturing to open new doors and grow average selling price
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in the electronic component industry; distributor sales, rep firm, or OEM facing role
- Existing NorCal relationship book; the kind where you can pick up the phone today
- Field first mindset; you go to the customer, not the other way around
- Background at Arrow, Avnet, Sager, TTI, Mouser, Master Electronics, or a rep firm strongly valued
- Technical degree a plus but not required; relationships and drive matter more than credentials
