Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems like Micros POS and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed to support team operations
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety guidelines related to food handling and service

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
• Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
