Title: PreK-12 Compensatory Education Student Achievement Coordinator: Math

Reports to: Elementary and Secondary Content Supervisors
JOB SUMMARY
Support improvement of students' academic achievement in specific content areas in collaboration with the school administration, content supervisors, and classroom teachers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Facilitate the planning and implementation of standards-based professional development activities.
- Provide support and assist with scheduling of academic interventions for identified students.
- Support the implementation of instructional strategies and interventions that close existing performance gaps across student groups, including the use of the MTSS model.
- Provide demonstration lessons, modeling, planning and/or support for the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials.
- Work side-by-side with teachers in a coaching/peer review model.
- Provide support in analyzing and interpreting formal and informal assessment data and facilitate the use of these data as a guide for effective instruction to improve students' skills and measured achievement levels.
- Supports the on-going improvements and revisions to curricula.
- Supports the instructional integration of technology through the use of digital curriculum resources in classroom.
- Communicates regularly with principals, supervisors, directors, and other coordinators regarding issues related to the coordination and implementation of curriculum and related services.
- Keeps abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the field.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Eligibility for an Advanced Professional Certificate in administration/supervision or Administrator I preferred.
- At least three (3) years of outstanding teaching experience.
- Specialized educational graduate study and experience in the subject area(s) is required.
- At least three (3) years of leadership experience in the subject area(s).
- Outstanding references related to instruction and/or the subject area(s).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Light Work: Exerting moderate but not constant physical effort to perform light work, typically involving some combination of balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, walking and may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 20 pounds), visual perception and discrimination, the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, perceive and discriminate color, perceive odors, and require oral communications.

Employees in this position work in an environment where the employee must deal with crisis situations that require major decisions involving people, resources, and property.
