Database Administrator

Job Title: Database Administrator (Remote – India) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems.

The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity, security, and high availability while supporting application performance and scalability.

This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain database systems Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across systems Perform regular backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions Collaborate with development teams to design and improve database structures Implement and maintain database standards, policies, and documentation Manage user access, permissions, and security controls Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) 2–5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role Proficiency in database management systems such as My SQL, Postgre SQL, Oracle, or SQL Server Strong understanding of database design, indexing, and performance tuning Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications Certification in database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.) Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes Experience working in remote or distributed teams
