What You Will Do This position is open for external candidates only to apply. The Acquisition Services Management - Supplier Management organization is seeking a Supply Chain Risk Analyst to support supply chain risk assessments across complex technical and contracting environments. This role will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating supplier and supply chain risks using a multi-dimensional risk framework. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating supplier viability, assessing supplier risk, supporting contract strategy, and briefing technical and management stakeholders. This individual will serve as a supply chain subject matter expert and tactical decision maker, helping organizations make informed Supplier selection and risk mitigation decisions. The Supply Chain Risk Analyst tasks may include + Perform comprehensive supplier risk assessments to support sourcing, acquisition, contracting, and program decisions + Support technical and contracting staff in determining viable suppliers based on risk, performance, capability, and business considerations + Monitor and assess supplier-related risk indicators, including business disruption, regulatory actions, ownership changes, cybersecurity events, counterfeit items, safety concerns, and geopolitical developments + Engage with quality organizations to review supplier non-conformance trends, corrective actions, and performance issues + Identify potential supplier vulnerabilities, dependencies, and risk exposure across critical supply chains + Develop mitigation strategies to reduce supplier and supply chain risk, including alternate sourcing, enhanced monitoring, contractual protections, and corrective action recommendations + Support high-level contract strategy and drive implementation of strategic contract opportunities + Prepare and deliver briefings to technical teams, contracting personnel, senior management, and other stakeholders on supply chain risk findings + Develop clear, executive-ready presentations, reports, dashboards, and decision support materials related to supply chain risk + Act as a tactical decision maker and supply chain subject matter expert for assigned programs, commodities, suppliers, or business areas + Collaborate cross-functionally with technical staff, contracts, procurement, quality, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and program management teams + Recommend improvements to supplier risk assessment methodologies, tools, data sources, and governance processes What You Need Minimum Job Requirements Supply Chain Risk Technical Competencies + Working knowledge with supplier quality processes, non-conformance reporting, corrective action processes, and performance management + Advanced experience assessing cybersecurity risk indicators or working with cyber, IT, or information security teams + Demonstrated understanding of counterfeit parts prevention, material traceability, authorized distribution channels, and supplier authentication practices + Familiarity with foreign ownership, control, or influence concerns and global supply chain risks and potential disruptions + Advanced experience evaluating lower-tier supplier dependencies and supply chain visibility + Expert knowledge of regulatory, compliance, or national security considerations related to supply chain risk Business Systems + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and other project or inventory management tools + Understanding of financial and business operations, including budget management, procurement, and resource forecasting Project & Contracting Execution + Experience managing complex technical or operational projects, developing schedules, defining scope, managing budgets, and executing work under formal change control + Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain and production risks + Demonstrated knowledge of all procurement federal acquisition regulations Communication + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, Legal counsel, and senior leadership Customer Service & Collaboration + Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders + Skilled at building trust, resolving conflicts, and delivering accurate, timely information + Adept at interacting with personnel at all levels to foster collaboration and achieve consensus Organizational Skills & Critical Thinking + Demonstrated strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment + Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, develop corrective actions, and recommend solutions based on data-driven analysis + Demonstrated success working independently and collaboratively, exercising judgment, creativity, flexibility, and initiative Education/Experience + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related degree from an accredited institution and 6 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Desired Qualifications + Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, critical infrastructure, government contracting, or other highly regulated industries + Experience with SAP-based contracting and ERP systems + Knowledge of Department of Energy or National Nuclear Security Administration requirements + Active Department of Energy Q clearance + Familiarity with regulated supplier qualification and oversight processes + Project Management Professional (PMP) + Lean Six Sigma certification Essential Job Functions (can perform with or without reasonable accommodation) Work Environment Work Location The work location for this position is telework and is located in Los Alamos. Telework is defined as working from offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice. Position commitment Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
