Purpose
The Mobile Dining Server delivers a seamless, restaurant-quality dining experience throughout the Chelsea Hotel. Blending traditional In-Room Dining service with the convenience and efficiency of modern mobile ordering, this role is responsible for taking guest orders, coordinating and packing them with precision, and delivering them directly to guestrooms and hotel spaces.
In addition to dining service, this position supports the overall guest experience by delivering in-room amenities and conducting regular floor checks to ensure corridors remain clear, presentable, and aligned with hotel standards.
This role extends Elm Tavern’s dining experience beyond the restaurant, ensuring ease, quality, professionalism, and hospitality in every interaction.
Principal Responsibilities
My Guest
- Deliver a seamless, modern dining experience that feels effortless for our guests.
- Accurately take guest orders via phone or digital platforms with warmth and professionalism
- Provide knowledgeable menu guidance, thoughtful upselling, and beverage recommendations when appropriate
- Carefully package and deliver orders promptly, ensuring presentation is polished and visually compelling
- Create a frictionless experience that blends traditional hospitality with modern convenience
- Handle guest concerns and special requests with efficiency, discretion, and courtesy

- Maintain excellence in quality, presentation and operational flow.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure order accuracy and timing
- Pack and prepare orders carefully to maintain temperature, presentation and completeness
- Ensure all condiments, cutlery, beverages and accompaniments are included
- Conduct final quality checks before delivery
- Uphold food safety, sanitation and Smart Serve regulations

Academic and Working Qualifications
Working Experience
- Previous experience in a similar size establishment.
- Previous Guest Service experience.
Knowledge
- Good knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails.
Education
- Must possess Smart Serve.
Soft Skills
- Efficient and quick to learn.
- Pleasant attitude, outgoing personality.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
Languages
- Excellent communication skills in the English language (Written and Verbal).
Physical Requirements
- Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
