Jr. accountant (Advance Excel / upto 20k)

We operate in the Accounting & Finance / Business Process Outsourcing sector, supporting SMEs and startups with day-to-day bookkeeping, statutory compliance and financial reporting. This is an on-site accounting role based in India focused on transactional accounting, reconciliations and Excel-driven reporting for accurate month-end close.

Primary title: Junior Accountant

Role & Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day accounting transactions: post journal entries, maintain ledgers and update sub-ledgers accurately.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including vendor invoicing, payment runs and customer collections follow-up.
• Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations to support month-end close.
• Prepare GST and TDS computations and assist with statutory filings and audit support documentation.
• Produce timely Excel-based reports and variance analyses to support finance managers and assist in month-end reporting.
• Maintain accounting systems (Tally/ERP) and improve process efficiency through spreadsheet automation and checklist-driven controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent preferred.
• Practical experience in bookkeeping, month-end close and statutory compliance (prior exposure to GST/TDS processes).
• Willingness to work on-site in India; compensation up to INR 20,000 per month as advertised.
