Position Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all makes and models of heavy equipment. This includes rebuilds, overhauls, pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), breakdown repairs, component replacements, and troubleshooting in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to prevent failures and accurately diagnose mechanical issues
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective components
• Ensure all repaired equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication
• Conduct technical diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Provide on-site service support at customer locations as required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Complete additional duties related to the position as required

Qualifications & Skills

• Heavy Duty Equipment Technician experience;
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience;
• Valid Class G driver’s license (driver’s abstract required)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities independently
• Professional demeanor with strong customer communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using computer tools and diagnostic systems
• Good physical condition
• Knowledge of forestry equipment is an asset

Employment Details

• Type: Full-time (44 hours/week)
• Location: 31 Taylor Blvd, Port Perry, ON, L9L 0B7 AND field service at customer worksites as required
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Pay range: 35$/h to 50$/h (based on experience)
