Role Description The Jr. Product Development Food/Nutraceuticals role is a full-time, on-site position based in Woodstock, ON. This role supports the development of new food and nutraceutical products, including capsules, tablets, and powders, from initial concept through to pilot and full-scale production. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with formulation work, conducting bench trials, gathering and organizing data, and supporting documentation for product specifications and quality requirements. The role involves collaborating with R&D, production, quality, and sales teams to align product features with customer needs and regulatory standards. The Jr. Product Development team member will also help evaluate raw materials, support sample preparation for clients, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in processes and products.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Product Management skills to help identify opportunities, understand customer needs, and support product lifecycle activities.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret test results, assess product performance, and make data-informed recommendations.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document findings, and present updates clearly.
• Candidates should possess foundational Research and Development (R&D) skills to support formulation work, lab testing, and product optimization.
• Relevant education in food science, nutrition, chemistry, biology, or a related field is highly beneficial.
• Basic understanding of GMP, HACCP, or other quality and safety standards in food or nutraceutical manufacturing is an asset.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced production environment are important.
• Proficiency with standard office software and comfort working with technical documentation and data spreadsheets is advantageous.
