Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax preparation, and financial analysis, with proficiency in various accounting software. Duties

• Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other bookkeeping tools to organize financial data.
• Conduct account reconciliation and auditing procedures to verify financial information.
• Analyze financial statements and data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• Assist clients with accounts payable, payroll processing, budgeting, and investment analysis.
• Maintain organized records of all tax documents and financial transactions for audit readiness.
• Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to optimize client savings and compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure accurate filings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tax preparation, accounting, or related financial services roles.
• Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other relevant tools.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Knowledge of auditing procedures, accounts payable, account reconciliation, payroll, budgeting, and investment analysis.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications or degrees in accounting or finance are preferred but not required.
