Job Overview - Social Media Content Creator

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Contract Social Media Content Creator who gets, loves, and understands baseball in Canada to elevate our brand’s online presence across multiple platforms.

• You must have professional and veteran experience using Canva. *

This role will be a combo of remote work, and in-person content creation in Brant County. If you can not accomodate, this is not the fit for you!

This easy side-hustle- role involves crafting engaging content, managing social media posts, and fostering authentic relationships with our audience. As a key driver of our digital marketing efforts, you will leverage your expertise in social media management, graphic design, and content creation to inspire and connect with our community.

Duties

• Develop and execute compelling social media content strategies aligned with brand goals across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, & TikTok
• Stay updated on the latest social media trends, platform features, and best practices in digital marketing and branding

Experience & MUSTS:

• Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns - Please show examples of content you currently manage or have managed in the past, relevant to baseball/sports industry.
• You must have a passion for or know enough about baseball to make sure your copy is industry relevant and makes sense.
• You can us Chat GPT however you must discern whether or not the baseball analogies, or wording actually makes sense. It must sound professional at all times.

This is an easy, side-hustle or add-on to anything you are currently doing.

I am looking for someone to specifically:

1) Run my Instagram & Tik Tok accounts by creating engaging content that is all about Baseball Mom's, Baseball Mom-Life, Baseball in Canada.

2) 2-3 posts per week with engaging copy - 60% should be images of myself, my life, my experiences, and baseball-photos, while 40% can be memes, quotes, fun posts, engaging posts, etc. We can meet in person to create a whole bunch of content, images, etc.

Side note: If YOU love baseball, or are at the diamonds, practice, etc - you can use your experience, content, POV, etc - as long as it isn't identifying. (optional, but a bonus for sure!)

3) Videos/Reels & Reposts - a must. Can you create kick-butt videos that make me look cooler than I am!?

4) All branding, logos, brand-kit available in Canva for you to use - you can use my paid account to create and schedule all.

My Goals:

1) Elevate, grow followers and create awareness for my business and brand.

2) Continue to collect subscribers for Canada's Baseball Mom Club

3) Sell my products/apparel - I'll send you items as a gift, and you can use them in your content.

To Apply and to be considered: ---> In a one- page word doc please include:

1) NO resume. Just examples of your work - share the profiles/handles with me. I love tenacity, and I'm a sucker for the underdog - but for me - I need someone with a lot of experience who just "gets it", can roll with it, and play ball for me. If you don't have experience, this is not the right fit at this time.

2) Tell me how you'll elevate my brand so that it's natural, fun, and relatable for Canadian Baseball Moms and tell me how you'll help me get sales on Etsy for my business and brand - @canadasbaseballmom

3) Tell me how you will use Canva and your organizational skills to keep me on track and churn out 2-3 posts per week, plus reposts/reshares/contests, etc. I'll lean on you to tell me what to do, and I'll provide everything you need to make your role easy and successful.

4) I use Google Drive to file/store all of my graphics and content calendar - answer if you have experience and are comfortable with Google Drive.

The Money:

This is a contract position. 2-3 hours weekly. We will begin May 1st approx and run until July 1st approx. $20/hour.

If you kick butt, I'll keep the contract going !! This will be an opportunity to see how we work together, if it's a good fit, and if we'll move forward.
