Call Centre Agent/Medical assistant/Receptionist

Canada Vein Clinics is looking for a medical assistant/customer service representative/call centre agent to work in our clinics located at our Toronto and Richmond Hill locations. We are looking for a motivated, self directed individual who works well independently within a team setting.
Duties include:
- Greeting and assisting patients as they call or enter the clinic
- Keeping the reception area organized
- Helping the nurse and the doctor with different procedures, understanding aseptic techniques
- Assist the nurses on getting clients ready for treatments (i.e. , getting consent forms filled out, taking pictures, cleaning in between procedures, taking payments, sending receipts)
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Converting new callers to consultations (training provided)
- Calling referrals to set up appointments
- Scheduling appointments - consultations, procedures, ultrasounds
- Confirming appointments 1-2 days before booking time.
- Daily reporting to the Clinic Manager
- Use of Microsoft Office, Email, Internet
- Assisting with OHIP Billing
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications needed:
- At least 1 year Medical experience is necessary
- At least 1 year office admin experience or Call Center experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a very busy environment
- Excellent phone manner
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills
- Professional manner with engaging with patients on the phone/in person
- Ability to interact with a multi disciplinary team
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Email
- Experience using Simms would be an asset, but not necessary
- Responsibility to assist with overall efficient operations of the office.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour

- Meeting productivity metrics such as average talk time, average handle time, phone availability, call abandonment rate, and call quality
- Resolving customer conflicts
- Learning technical/industrial information and applying it for caller's benefit
- Performing other clerical tasks
