Position Overview: As an Assembly Operator in the Aerospace Industry, you will play a crucial role in the assembly process of aerospace components, ensuring that they meet strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly operations according to established procedures and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to understand assembly requirements.
• Assemble aerospace components using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment.
• Inspect parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper fit and functionality of components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly, preferably in the aerospace industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for operating hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in assembly tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• Other Requirements:
• Applicants will be screened for the requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program and must pass relevant criminal background checks.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work primarily in a manufacturing / production environment where employee will be required to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to moderate noise levels, dust, varying temperatures, hazardous materials and compliance to safety precautions.
• Compliance with proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in or travelling through an environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Able to work as part of a small team in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
• Flexibility to working a rotating schedule of days and evenings (shift work)
• Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 25 pounds
• Good vision (corrected as needed) to discern fine details.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
