Flight Simulator Technician
As part of the Technical Services department within CAE’s Civil Training and Services division, you will perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Training Center.
The incumbent will support the following roles and responsibilities:
Description
Learn and perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
Assist in diagnosing and correcting issues on simulators and related systems.
Record and track maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
Complete all required and designated training activities.
Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight checks on assigned simulators.
Conduct basic visual alignments.
Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.
Support simulator refurbishment and hardware modification activities.
Learn and comply with the CAE Quality Management System.
Provide timely customer service support and address customer needs.
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain simulators in required condition.
Carry out logistics duties, including parts receiving, repair coordination, and testing/validation.
Complete administrative tasks as required.
Perform additional tasks in support of the Technical Services group as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in Electronics Technology, Robotics, Avionics, or an equivalent field.
0–2 years of relevant technical or maintenance experience.
Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
Ability to interpret system diagrams and schematics.
Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
Computer architecture knowledge and general IT literacy.
Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repair.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and applications.
Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in aviation.
Mechanical aptitude.

Base Pay Range
Our total rewards package includes base pay and benefits, with final compensation determined by experience, skill, location, and internal equity.
Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000 CAD
