Job Description
Job Title: Data Analyst Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: DOJ MBI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * The Opportunity: The Data Analyst within the CACI Data Analytics Lab is responsible for providing analytical support for data analytics projects surrounding investigations or litigation. Under the direction of senior team members, the Data Analyst develops, maintains, and enforces streamlined and efficient processes for project lifecycles, from data collection through the presentation of the data product. They assist with, and occasionally manage, the collection and loading of data, creation of the data model and database structure, and development of the data product.
Additionally, the Data Analyst is responsible for documentation and occasionally serving as a primary point-of-contact for attorneys and case teams.
The Data
Analyst gathers a wide variety of data types from primary and secondary sources through diverse channels using a combination of methods that will be researched and directed by the Data Analytics Lab Management team. They must have the ability to guide and assist other data analysts as required.
Responsibilities: The Data Analyst is responsible for defining, developing, and communicating data analytics solutions to support the customer. Corresponding with key case personnel to elicit requirements and provide regular status updates,
- Proposing analytics solutions that best meet the data questions,
- Performing data analysis and modeling to understand and identify data relationships/trends/classifications/predictions, and
- Delivering the completed solution. This position requires strong analytical, problem solving, data curiosity, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
This person must be well organized and flexible.
Qualifications: Required
- College/University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience required.
- Tableau Software, Power BI, i2 Analyst Notebook or i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA), ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
- Hands-on experience in programming and/or scripting (Python, R, Java).
- Background in Law Enforcement, Data Science, Investigations, Data Analysis, Computer Information Systems, or Statistics.
- Industry analytics/business intelligence knowledge including current industry trends, challenges, and data quality approaches.
- Understanding of database, ETL, and analytics tools and concepts.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize work effectively, as well as to function as an effective team member in a local and virtual team development environment.
