Job Summary
We are looking for an AI Engineer, Internal Enablement & Productivity to join the AI Enablement team in Arlington, VA or Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with experience building LLM-powered systems and automating complex workflows using AI agents. This role will involve designing and deploying multi-agent systems, developing AI-driven tools that increase internal productivity, and partnering with engineering, product, and operational teams to scale AI integrations that improve internal processes and reduce operational costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build AI Agent Systems: Design and deploy multi-agent systems with tool integration, routing, memory, and planning capabilities to automate internal business workflows.
- Develop AI-Powered Tools: Build modular AI services and agent skills that integrate with internal platforms, backend systems, and data pipelines to increase team productivity.
- Establish AI Engineering Standards: Contribute to the architecture and engineering standards for internal AI systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Implement Observability and Evaluation: Develop evaluation frameworks for AI agents, including telemetry, prompt testing, regression testing, and reliability metrics.
- Partner Across the Organization: Collaborate with product, engineering, go-to-market, operations, and customer success teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven workflow automation.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience building and deploying machine learning or LLM-powered systems in production environments.
- Skills: Strong software engineering skills in Python and other programming languages. Experience integrating and working with large language models such as Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI models. Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows using frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agent SDK, or similar technologies. Experience deploying machine learning systems in production environments. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP. Experience implementing evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI systems. Familiarity with Git source control management.
- Other: U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision. Ability to operate in a fast-paced and ambiguous startup environment. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building complex multi-agent systems with orchestration, routing, and tool integration. Experience leveraging LLM systems to automate complex internal workflows. Experience scaling technology platforms or products from zero to one within a startup or entrepreneurial environment. Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, or similar API-driven UI architectures.
