Electro-Mechanical Production Operations Coordinator
Buckeye GlobalJob Description
Step into the heart of production
From the first shift huddle to end-of-day closeouts, you are the conductor who keeps our factory humming. As the Electro-Mechanical Production Operations Coordinator, you partner closely with the Sr. Manager of Operations and the Factory Operations Team to guide the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies—on schedule and in full alignment with documented procedures and our ISO9001/AS9100-registered Quality Management System.
A day in the life
Morning: You review the build plan, jump into daily tiered accountability/management huddles, and surface bottlenecks across the value stream. As KPIs roll in, you track metrics and, when needed, launch "Return to Green" actions with stakeholders.
Midday: You walk the floor to conduct audits and cycle counts of WIP, keep consumables flowing via KANBAN, and enter purchase requisitions for supplies and services. You coordinate with Quality Assurance to schedule or assist with preventative maintenance and calibration for tools, equipment, and fixtures.
Afternoon: You update process documentation, forms, records, and reports; maintain logs and paperwork per company policy; and ensure employees follow all procedures within the Mercury Systems QMS. When operations need an extra hand, you pitch in with inventory stocking, job kitting, assembly, test, inspection, and packaging. If an issue arises, you support RCA/RCCA problem-solving.
Closeout: You tie off the day’s tasks and prepare for tomorrow’s build—adapting as needed for other duties assigned by management.
