Positions Available
- Telecom & Shallow Utility Labourers
- Lead Hands (Crew Leads)
Responsibilities
Labourers:
- Assist with installation of telecom and shallow utilities (fiber, conduit, etc.)
- Perform manual labor including digging, trenching, and backfilling
- Load/unload materials and equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Follow directions from supervisors and lead hands
Lead Hands:
- Supervise and coordinate crew members on-site
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications
- Read and interpret plans and locates
- Operate equipment as needed
- Communicate with supervision and managers
Requirements
Labourers:
- Willingness to learn
- Previous construction or utility experience is an asset, not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude
Lead Hands:
- 2+ years experience in telecom or shallow utilities
- Experience leading crews
- Ability to read drawings and plans
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (required)
Assets (for all roles)
- First Aid certification
- CSTS / Safety tickets
- Equipment operation experience (mini-ex, skid steer, etc.)
