Job Description

Position: Jr. AI Engineer

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

(Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Please note, the first few months may require 5 days onsite to ensure proper onboarding and team integration.)

Contract duration: Long term ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversion

Pay Rate: $30/hr. (can have some flexibility depending on education level & experience)

Overview

Our Fortune 500 Telecom client’s Network Technology Services (NTS) organization is expanding its AIOps team to help build an enterprise‑scale, cloud‑agnostic AI platform that powers the next generation of autonomous network operations. We are seeking a Junior AI Engineer who is passionate about artificial intelligence and eager to learn, grow, and innovate in a real‑world production environment. The ideal candidate has exposure to Python and AWS through coursework, personal projects, or internships.

In this role, you will work side‑by‑side with senior engineers and architects to gain hands‑on experience developing AI solutions using modern AWS technologies such as Bedrock, Neptune, Strands, and other emerging tools. You’ll learn how to build, test, and support intelligent systems that help identify network issues, analyze patterns, and drive automated decision-making.

This position plays a key part in our client's deployment of agentic AI solutions—capabilities that enhance network reliability, accelerate problem resolution, and advance the company’s vision for fully autonomous networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support development of AI-driven workflows for network monitoring and autonomous operations
  • Contribute to POCs using LLMs, generative AI APIs, and agentic AI frameworks
  • Work with senior engineers on designing real-time telemetry analysis tools
  • Build and test automation logic in AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock, CloudWatch)
  • Assist with model evaluation, prompt engineering, and integration
  • Research emerging AI tools and present findings to the team
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
  • Complete Elevate-provided training in AWS, Python, real-time AI, and network fundamentals

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Basic familiarity with:
  • Python
  • AWS concepts (exp with all concepts not required, though essential to study before interview)
  • Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker
  • AWS Agentic/Orchestration tooling (e.g., Strands)
  • AWS LLMs (Nova, Anthropic Claude via Bedrock, others)
  • AWS data & analytics stack: EMR, Kinesis, Neptune/Neptune ML, S3, Data Lake, Aurora, RDS
  • LLMs / generative AI concepts
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to experiment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, ask insightful questions, and communicate effectively.
  • Passion for learning new technologies

Interview Process: One official technical interview with a few engineers from the team and one cultural interview with the Sr. Director (one virtual and one on-site)

Team overview: Working with a team of 40 engineers and architects

Timeline: Submitting top 2 candidates by Wednesday, March 4th, 2026
