Experienced Lead Preschool Teacher

Bright Mind Preschool is a small year-round private school serving children ages two and a half to Pre-kindergarten in Alexandria for over 9 years. Our mission is to provide a strong educational foundation for young children and care that meets the needs of each child. We work alongside families to support children in a safe, inclusive, and warm environment. We are committed to the care and education of children and strive to make our school a welcoming and fun place to grow and learn.

We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic, nurturing, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Teacher. If you have a genuine love for early education and are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young minds to flourish, we’d love to hear from you. This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, at our year-round school.

Our team uses the Mother Goose Times curriculum to introduce math, literacy and art concepts in our small, independent school in Alexandria, Virginia. We believe that teaching a child to accept responsibility for one’s own actions produces individuals of sound character.

What you will bring:

· Previous lead teaching experience- required

· Bachelor's/Associate's degree or CDA- required

· A love for providing a warm and welcoming learning environment

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Lead Teacher responsibilities include:

· Plan and execute developmentally appropriate lessons and activities using the Mother Goose Times curriculum

· Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

· Provide individualized attention to each child’s needs

· Collaborate with parents to ensure a well-rounding learning experience

· Maintain a safe and clean classroom

· Participate in teacher work days for professional development and team building activites
