Employment Type: Full-Time

About Brenman Consulting

Brenman Consulting is building India’s first construction-focused media and knowledge platform.

We operate at the intersection of education, industry intelligence, and professional development

for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector. We are not just an EdTech

company, we are becoming the platform that professionals turn to for structured, practical

insights on infrastructure, defence, and engineering developments.

Role Overview

This role is for someone who can track real developments, decode policy announcements, and

translate them into insights that matter to professionals on the ground.

You will work directly with the founding team to build a credible, consistent content pipeline that

covers infrastructure spending, government initiatives, project progress, and sector movements

across India.

We are not looking for someone who rewrites press releases. We are looking for someone

who connects policy to projects to on-ground execution.

What You’ll Do

Industry Intelligence & Research

  • Track central budget allocations, capex trends, and ministry-level spending (MoRTH,

Railways, Defence, Urban Development)

  • Monitor major government programs — Gati Shakti, Bharatmala, Sagarmala, Defence

Corridors, Jal Jeevan Mission, and others

  • Analyse project announcements versus actual progress and execution status
  • Identify which sectors and geographies will see real activity and contract flow

Content & Publishing

  • Write structured weekly intelligence pieces that go beyond headlines
  • Break down what budget announcements and policy moves mean for contractors,

consultants, and engineers

  • Convert raw data and government releases into clear, actionable insights
  • Develop frameworks that connect policy → projects → impact

Brand & Authority Building

  • Help establish Brenman as a serious, trusted voice in the AEC and infrastructure space
  • Build a content calendar for regular industry analysis and commentary
  • Develop original reporting and data-driven narratives that professionals share and

reference

  • Collaborate with the content and product teams to integrate intelligence into the broader

platform

AI-Enabled Research Workflows

  • Use tools like Claude, Perplexity, and other AI systems to accelerate research, data

collection, and analysis

  • Build prompt systems for faster information synthesis and fact-checking
  • Improve productivity using AI-assisted research and writing workflows
  • Stay updated on emerging AI tools that enhance journalistic output

What We Mean by High Agency

  • You don’t wait to be told what to cover
  • You spot stories and angles before they become obvious
  • You think in outcomes, not word counts
  • You take ownership of your beats and your deadlines
  • You move fast and iterate based on what resonates

What We Mean by Sharp Editorial Judgement

  • Ability to separate signal from noise in government announcements
  • Understanding of how policy translates to real projects and contracts
  • Clarity of thought — complex ideas explained simply
  • Discipline to verify before publishing
  • Instinct for what professionals in the field actually need to know

We care deeply about accuracy, depth, and relevance.

Skills & Requirements

Must Have

  • Strong writing skills with a clear, direct style — no fluff
  • Ability to read and interpret government budgets, policy documents, and project reports
  • Understanding of India’s infrastructure landscape — or a strong willingness to learn fast
  • Research rigour — ability to find, verify, and structure information from multiple sources
  • Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating analytical thinking and clear communication

Good to Have

  • Background in business journalism, infrastructure reporting, or policy analysis
  • Familiarity with government data portals and public procurement processes
  • Experience writing for professional or B2B audiences
  • Interest in the AEC sector, construction, or engineering
  • Comfort with data visualisation and working with numbers

Growth

This role can grow into:

  • Lead Business Journalist
  • Head of Industry Intelligence
  • Editorial Lead
  • Content Strategist – Infrastructure & Policy

We reward ownership, not tenure.

Compensation

Competitive + performance-linked incentives — we reward results, depth of reporting, and real

impact on brand authority.
