Senior Production Support Engineer

As a Production Support Engineer at Bottomline Technologies, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting complex customer production problems and ensuring customer delight in a variety of environments, including BT hosted application environments. You will report directly to the Support Manager of Digital Banking IQ.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide occasional 'after-hours' high-severity issue support
• Perform production support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Maintain multiple local environments for debugging systems
• Remotely and locally debug code for multiple applications using the Bottomline standard tools on BT technology and architecture
• Collaborate with the Implementations and Delivery Teams on defect resolution and solution delivery
• Utilize and promote best practices as an active member of the development community
• Develop new technical skills and acquire industry knowledge
• *Qualifications Required:**
• 3+ years' experience in hands-on, web-based application software development preferred
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally
• Participation in the complete life-cycle of an enterprise-wide, web-based application
• Minimum 1-year of experience developing Web applications using Java J2EE, Oracle database & SQL. Demonstrated working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and server-side
• Experience in developing web applications using Ajax and Web Services
• Proficiency in GIT, Subversion, Oracle WebLogic, and IBM WebSphere
• Good understanding of Networking principles
• Computer Science degree or proven experience
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, HTML & JavaScript, Java or JavaScript development, Databases, and SQL query language
