Role Description The Assistant Video Editor will support the creative team in producing high-quality video content for branding, marketing campaigns, and social media. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Day-to-day responsibilities include importing and organizing raw footage, assembling rough cuts, and refining edits under the guidance of senior editors and creative leads. The role involves applying basic color corrections, integrating graphics and simple motion elements, and ensuring visual consistency with brand guidelines. The Assistant Video Editor will collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, and account teams, manage project files and backups, and assist in preparing final exports for multiple platforms and formats. The position also includes staying updated on video trends and tools to contribute fresh ideas to content concepts.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including organizing footage, trimming clips, and assembling narrative sequences.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Video Color Grading, with an understanding of exposure, contrast, and color balance to maintain a consistent visual style.
• Familiarity with Motion Graphics and Graphics to support the creation and integration of titles, lower-thirds, and simple animated elements.
• Comfort using industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and graphic tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred.
• Ability to follow creative direction, accept feedback constructively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills for managing multiple projects, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Relevant education in film, media, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience through internships, projects, or a portfolio.
• A portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing, basic color work, and any motion or graphic contributions is highly beneficial.
