The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your Cloud engineering expertise in a high impact role? Booz Allen’s has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We’re looking for a lead Cloud Operations Infrastructure Engineer to join the team. You’ll help oversee the design, sustainment, and optimization of secure, mission‑aligned cloud infrastructure across multiple CSPs, including AWS, Azure, GCP, or DoW‑affiliated managed environments. In this role, you will lead engineering teams supporting DoW and Special Access Program (SAP) workloads, ensuring compliance with DoW cybersecurity standards, secure multi‑boundary deployment patterns, and rapid, reliable delivery of mission applications in IL2-IL6, JWICS, or SAP‑accredited cloud environments.
Through your leadership, we’ll help transform the way the Department of Air Force uses technology including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able lead and mentor cloud engineers supporting hybrid, multi-cloud and tenant-owned architecture in DoW environments. You’ll be responsible for driving cloud operational readiness, incident response, environment hardening, and mission uptime across secure and classified networks. You should have experience coordinating with cybersecurity teams, AOs, and mission owners to accelerate accreditation timelines and environment compliance requirements.
You should have expertise in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle clouds, Cloud or network security, containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines across DoW impact levels or classifications. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently while leading others, and be able to work across development teams. You should be able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, while mentoring the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow’s cloud operations leads.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
