Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with 10+ years of experience in utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects to lead and manage all on-site construction activities. The role involves overseeing civil, electrical, and mechanical installation works to ensure project completion within schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards. The Construction Manager will coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver successful solar power plant installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Construction Management

•

• Lead and manage end-to-end construction activities for ground-mounted solar PV projects.
• Oversee civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical installation works.
• Ensure project execution aligns with engineering designs, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor daily site activities and ensure construction milestones are achieved.
• Site Execution & Coordination

•

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely work completion.
• Resolve site-related technical issues and coordinate with design teams when required.
• Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews.
• Planning & Scheduling

•

• Develop and monitor construction schedules and project timelines.
• Track progress against project milestones and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Coordinate material delivery and resource allocation to avoid delays.
• Quality Assurance

•

• Ensure implementation of quality standards and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and engineering standards.
• Conduct inspections of civil foundations, mounting structures, electrical installations, and other construction works.
• Safety & Compliance

•

• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Implement safety policies and conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
• Ensure site activities comply with statutory regulations and industry standards.
• Stakeholder Management

•

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Support project handover and documentation after successful commissioning.
• Team Leadership

•

• Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, and construction teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to site personnel.
• Ensure effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

•

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in solar EPC or renewable energy projects.
• Experience managing utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects (10MW+ capacity preferred).
• Strong understanding of solar PV construction processes including civil works, mounting structures, electrical installations, and grid connectivity.
• Proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

•

• Experience handling large-scale solar projects (50MW+ or multiple project sites).
• Strong knowledge of solar plant construction standards and grid interconnection requirements.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• PMP or Project Management certification (preferred).
