Publicist (Corporate Communications & PR)

As a Publicist at Avon Cycles Limited, you will play a crucial role in shaping the narrative of India's premier bicycle brand. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with national and regional media, focusing on lifestyle, fitness, and business journalists.
• Crafting compelling press releases, executive speeches, and thought-leadership articles for the leadership team.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and managing PR crises to protect the brand's legacy.
• Planning and executing PR strategies for new product launches, such as high-end MTB series, E-bikes, and fitness equipment.
• Leading PR for local and national events, including trade shows, cycling rallies, and CSR initiatives in Punjab.
• Monitoring media coverage and providing monthly reports on 'Earned Media Value' (EMV) and brand sentiment compared to competitors.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 57 years of experience in PR or Corporate Communications, preferably in the Automobile, Manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, or Mass Communication.
• Exceptional writing skills in English and fluency in Hindi and Punjabi for regional media relations in Ludhiana.
• An established network of media contacts across North India and national business bureaus.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred attributes include being a proactive 'pitcher', having knowledge of digital PR and working with influencers in the cycling/fitness niche, and being comfortable working from the Ludhiana headquarters on G.T. Road.
