Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cafe Chef role located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The Cafe Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of cafe-style dishes, including snacks, mains, and beverages, while maintaining consistent taste, quality, and presentation. Daily tasks include planning and organizing the kitchen, prepping ingredients, managing food inventory, and ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are strictly followed. The role also involves coordinating with service staff, managing kitchen timelines during busy hours, and helping to develop or refine menu items based on customer preferences and seasonal availability. The Cafe Chef is expected to support training of junior kitchen staff and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and plating for cafe-style menus (e.g., snacks, light meals, beverages).
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations, including prep work, stock rotation, and basic inventory control.
• Good time management and organizational skills, especially during peak service hours.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with front-of-house and other kitchen staff.
• Prior experience as a chef, cook, or commis in a cafe, restaurant, or similar setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of cost control, portioning, and minimizing food wastage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by cafe operations.
• Passion for food, creativity in menu ideas, and a customer-focused mindset.
