Job Description
As a Senior Analyst (Wind Expert) at Black & Veatch, your role will involve compiling analysis and preparation of deliverables for multiple engagement phases of a project. You will demonstrate capabilities with moderate to high levels of supervision, depending on the complexity and scope of the project. Additionally, you will have the exposure and opportunity to work on new technologies, due diligence, as well as strategy projects.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct design and technology review for renewable projects including solar, wind, and BESS
- Review operations data of renewable power
- Compile data from design documents and contracts
- Perform data analysis and crunching
- Draft inputs to technical due diligence, construction, and operation monitoring report
- Present data in meaningful formats to be used by project teams
- *Consulting Capability:**
- Deliver or contribute to the development of work products throughout at least one phase of an engagement
- Use recognized methods to deliver work products
- Contribute to risk and issue identification and synthesis of solutions
- *Industry Knowledge Capability:**
- Deliver work products and demonstrate a broad knowledge of an industry or market including trends, current state of the art, and driving factors
- Collect and analyze information specific to the industry to recommend alternatives
- Proactively develop additional knowledge applicable to the area of expertise
- *Project Delivery:**
- Manage personal accountabilities during at least one phase in an overall engagement
- Ability to lead simple deliverables related to core competency
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- 4-6 years of experience in design or design review of renewable projects
- Familiarity with wind turbine technology is an added advantage
- Graduation in electrical engineering, other disciplines may be considered for the candidate with the right experience
- Understanding of basic concepts in power and infrastructure projects
- Fully comfortable with Microsoft Office suite and especially Microsoft Excel, exposure to other databases
- *Minimum Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree + 2-4 years experience OR Master's degree + 2-4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements
- *Work Environment/Physical Demands:**
- B&V Office or Client environment
- Travel up to 100%
