Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Purchase (Utilities) for API Plants Experience: 10+ Years in API / Chemical Manufacturing Qualification: Graduate in Engineering + MBA / Postgraduate Skills Set: * Strong techno‑commercial acumen * Vendor development & cost optimization * SAP Procurement & Inventory Management * Project coordination & compliance orientation Role Purpose: To lead procurement of plant utilities, electrical systems, and effluent treatment solutions, ensuring cost‑effective, reliable, and compliant procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - End‑to‑end procurement of utility & infrastructure systems: Boilers, Chillers, Air Compressors, Cooling Towers, HVAC. - Electrical systems: Transformers, DG sets, HT/LT panels, switchgear, cabling. - Effluent Treatment Systems: ETP, MEE, ANFD, ZLD & associated equipment. - Handle both standard packages & engineered‑to‑order systems with compliance to safety & regulatory norms. - Vendor identification, development & technical evaluation. - Floating enquiries, bid comparison & cost optimization. - Contract negotiation & finalization for high‑value utility packages. - Coordination with engineering, projects, consultants & site teams. - Expediting, inspection coordination & delivery tracking. - Capex planning, budgeting & procurement strategy for utilities. - SAP expertise: PR to PO cycle, service procurement, vendor management & inventory coordination.
